Tuckered out!

One day last week I was piddling around the house while Hooper and William were playing. Well William took a nap early that day, but Hooper was still playing in the living room. Then all of a sudden I noticed it was quiet. Usually this means he's into something he's not suppose to be into. So imagine my surprise when I found him asleep in the floor! He's NEVER done this !!! I guess he was tired!

We don't even have to look at the clock to see it's nap time anymore. By 11:00 he's ready for his nap! Schedules are such a blessing!
Not to worry, I did not leave him here. After I snapped a few photos I put him in his crib and tucked him in.

Playing in the bed with my friend William

One morning William and I went to get Hooper out of bed and I decided to let them play in his crib for a while. I'm trying to teach Hooper to share more so I thought sharing his bed was a good start.

Here William is giving "Bob" to Hooper. William has never sucked his thumb or taken a pacifier so this fascinates him! I LOVE his face in this one! And yes, that IS a football pillow he sleeps with now.
I just hope he's broken of "BOB" before the NFL...or even college, ha!

Playing in the lid drawer..again!

Yes, I've posted pictures of him in the lid drawer before, but come on...how cute is this? Since Dee blockaded all the cabinet doors, Hooper's only fun now in the kitchen are the drawers under the oven. So let the fun begin! He gets all the lids out, climbs up, and dances and sings. Talk about having a good time! I'm really reconsidering buying him new toys for Christmas, ha! I see the next American Idol in our midst!

Papaw Time

Over Thanksgiving we were so blessed to have Mamaw and Papaw come for a visit. We had such a good time!!! One day Papaw was talking to Aunt Donna on the phone and Hooper had to talk to his favorite Aunt too!

One day the boys had some "garage time" and Hooper decided to show Papaw how good he was with the tools. Papaw said he saw him taking over his business one day!

Some days Hooper will really play well by himself for a while. Other days, not so much. But today was a good day and he really had fun! This is one of his favorite toys. He plays with it over and over...and believe it or not, he can put the correct shape into the correct hole. My child is a genious! Thanks Connie Kay for the great toy!!!

And as most kids, he loves cell phones. So when I got a new one he inherited my old Treo. Not many 17 month olds have their own Treo, ha! He's going to be hi-tech like his Daddy.

HELP!!!

Ok...I'm usually pretty good with this stuff. But as you see, I've messed my blog page up and cannot fix it. Please if anyone knows how to take this template off, tell me! If not, I'll have to wait until Dee gets home and beg his help!

As I mentioned in a previous blog, Dee installed baby proof cabinet door protectors in the kitchen this weekend. Well Hooper HAD to help! This kid is ALL boy and LOVES helping his daddy no matter what the chore!

Christmas PJ's

Nana and Oga bought Hooper these adorable red Christmas PJ"s that have dog's all over them wearing reindeer antlers. Too cute! So I waited until they came for a visit to debut them.

If you haven't picked up on this....Nana and Hooper have a love affair going unlike anything I've ever seen! In this picture Nana is in the bathroom and Hooper is lying on the floor trying to get her to come out. Hooper is getting more and more interactive as well. Here's their conversation as Nana said it went from the bathroom:

Nana: "Hooper?"

Hooper: "UhHuh!"

Like I said these two have a love for one another that only they can understand!

I must say that I am jealous, ha!

Ma's Fried Chicken

A couple weeks ago I conned my sweet grandmother into coming for a visit and making me some of her homemade fried chicken. Well I wanted to make sure I didn't go hungry so I bought ALOT of chicken so I would have left overs. Last night was left over night and Hooper really enjoyed it! This is his true first time to eat a chicken leg. So Ma, this one's for YOU!!! We love you!!!!

Ok, so this is NOT a picture of Hooper, ha! But I could NOT resist sharing it with the world. I hope you find it as enjoyable as I do. This precious little one is my cousin Marla's daughter, Maggie. She and Hooper are 2 months apart. Both of her parents have very wild hair and well as you see, she didn't have a chance....thank God she's sooooo cute!!!!
